Milieu-specific attitudes to nature, the environment and climate
SINUS contributed an article to the vhw magazine FORUM WOHNEN UND STADTENTWICKLUNG (October 2019 issue), entitled “Milieu-specific attitudes toward nature, the environment and climate”.
The article argues that the attitudes of the German population toward climate change and climate protection cannot be viewed in isolation but must be understood as integral to how the environment and nature are perceived overall. From the perspective of the population, climate change in this context is linked in particular to resource consumption, energy, mobility and biodiversity. Hence, the topic of climate change also builds a bridge to current issues of urban development, since the relationship between the city and nature is currently undergoing fundamental change.
