Nature Awareness 2013
What significance does Nature have for people? What do they understand by wilderness, and to what extent do they think wilderness exists in Germany? What are seen to be the advantages and disadvantages of national parks? How has opinion on the energy turnaround changed in recent years? What importance is attributed to flood protection? Who consumes organic products and what are the reasons for this? How important to the population are nature conservation and biodiversity?
These and other questions were answered empirically in the 2013 Nature Awareness Study. SINUS-Institut conducted this study together with Dr. Fritz Reusswig of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) and the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN).
