Unequal Pay – overcoming it together
According to the overwhelming majority of the German population, wage inequality is unacceptable in a modern society, for moral and economic reasons. In its 2011 population-representative study for the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ), SINUS-Institut explored attitudes toward pay inequality, the causes of wage inequality and the parties responsible. By examining priorities when choosing a job and looking at prevailing role models, it showed how pay inequality is seen to be part of issues with equality policy issues.
