"Don't know" and "can't do" are phrases rarely heard from Tim Gensheimer. Objective and unflappable, he enjoys taking on new challenges, whether in his role as a researcher or as the driving force behind our public relations work.
Although one of our youngest, Tim resists being pigeonholed as a Millenial. He is, after all, anything but an egocentric tactician obsessed with his career. As a research assistant the University of Tübingen, he became committed to researching right-wing populist and other anti-democratic currents, and designing appropriate countermeasures for political education. At SINUS, he is continuing in this vein and also pursues his other research interests such as media and travel.
Tim Gensheimer holds an MA in EU Studies from the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. In his thesis, he investigated explanatory factors for Eurosceptic opinions. Previously, he completed a degree in political science and English (BA) at the University of Mannheim.
He is an urban explorer and "cultural omnivore" who feels most comfortable somewhere beyond the traditional concepts of underground, mainstream, high and pop culture.
